As we enter the last week of July here at Englefield Bay I can reflect on what an incredible season it’s been so far. With so many great people, old friends and new, joining us here to share the journey, it’s just an awesome experience.

Fishing has been steady over the last week and there are lots of fish around to keep anglers busy. Denham Bay and No Name Point have produced some large chinook salmon as well some of hardest fighting coho of the season.

The Shoals are a solid producer with all species hanging around on the West and South Pinnacles. Lingcod, halibut, rockfish, and salmon are all there for the taking.

Top chinook of the week goes to Michael Amato with a hefty 39lber. Way to go Mike!
August looks to be much of the same and hopefully, our northern waters will light up and come to life as well.

Bone Point, a favorite among guests, has been spotty this year and that is not normal. We are looking forward to a change there in the coming weeks!
To those that have already been here this year and everyone yet to come, it is our staff’s pleasure to share all that Englefield has to offer.

Until then, take care and tight lines.
