FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


 

WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR MY TRIP?

A full set of raingear and boots are provided so we suggest warm pants, warm sweater, t-shirts, long sleeved shirts, a windbreaker and warm thick socks. Pack comfortable shoes to wear off the water, as well as sunglasses and sunscreen and personal toiletry items. Ensure that any medications are packed in your carry-on and not in checked luggage. Please pack lightly; baggage is restricted to a maximum combined weight of 25lbs.
 

WHAT IF I NEED TO BOOK A CONNECTING FLIGHT?

If you are arranging a connection upon your return, be sure to book your flight at least 3 hours after your scheduled arrival time. Westcoast Resorts is not responsible for extra expenses incurred due to weather delays or missed connecting flights.
 

WHAT CAN I BUY AT THE LODGE STORE?

Clothing and toiletries are available in case you've forgotten anything. The store also retails giftware, jewellery, novelties and more.
 

WHAT SHOULD I LEAVE FOR GRATUITIES?

Gratuities are a reflection of how you have enjoyed your stay. As we frequently receive inquiries regarding gratuities, we offer the following per-guest guidelines: GUIDES - $25/day or $50/day if fully guided. LODGE STAFF - $200/trip
 

HOW DO I GET MY FISH HOME AFTER MY TRIP?

If the amount of fish you have is under the generous weight restrictions allowed by the aircraft operators, you can bring your catch with you free of charge. Home delivery is available via third party service provider at an additional charge.
 

DO I NEED A PLEASURE CRAFT OPERATING CARD?

In order to allow guests to operate boats on their own, we provide extensive instruction, training and safety equipment.
 

HOW DO I GET MY FISHING LICENSE?

Licenses are only available online via the Department of Fisheries and Oceans website. We are unable to issue licenses at check-in. Please purchase your license and salmon tag before your trip.
 

IS THERE A SHUTTLE FROM MY HOTEL TO THE AIRPORT?

Most local hotels provide shuttle service to both airports. Shuttle service between terminals is sporadic, but taxis are readily available.

WHAT ARE THE BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS?

Fishing licenses/tags, applicable taxes, airport transfer fees or parking, alcoholic beverages or gratuities are not included. WCR does not take responsibility for extra expenses incurred due to flight delays caused by bad weather or missed connecting flights. A $1500 booking deposit is due immediately upon verbal date confirmation. Balance due by March 01 for all pre-season bookings. Deposits and balances are non-refundable. Should you require cancellation insurance, this service is provided by many reputable companies.
