West Coast Resorts Canadian Fishing Lodge Locations
Hippa Island | Englefield Bay | Whale Channel | Milbanke Sound | Walters Cove
We offer you a choice of five distinctly different BC fishing resorts, each delivering an unforgettable and rewarding experience for all levels of ability.
Our operations are located on the Central Coast, Vancouver Island and, of course, Haida Gwaii / the Queen Charlotte Islands.
Haida Gwaii / Queen Charlotte Islands Fishing Lodge
In 2009 we moved our Tasu Lodge from Tasu Sound about 70 miles up the West Coast of Haida Gwaii / the Queen Charlotte Islands to its new location at Hippa Island. The first season here proved to be a great success and Anglers agree that the move was a good one.
Haida Gwaii / the Queen Charlotte Islands is the cream of the crop for anglers looking for fantastic chinook fishing. The problem is, the weather and waters here can be rough during inclement weather.
The great thing about our Hippa Island location is that The Lodge and great fishing spots are protected by Hippa Island meaning that when the weather is rough, there are plenty of inside fishing opportunities.
The Lodge at Hippa Island Highlights
- Viable inside fishery
- Close proximity to fishing
- Dash-8 air service which means from Vancouver to the water is only 3 hours
- Instructor program
- Several direct flights from Calgary and Edmonton eliminating the need to stay overnight in Vancouver
- Guests enjoy a spectacular helicopter flight in and out of the Lodge
Haida Gwaii / Queen Charlotte Islands Fishing Lodge
Fishing in Haida Gwaii / the Queen Charlotte Islands can be crowded.
Many Lodges are positioned at the North End of the Islands making for
some pretty tight conditions. At times, there may be up to 125 boats
in the water vying for the same fishing spots.
Our Lodge is in Englefield Bay on the West Side of Haida Gwaii / the Queen Charlotte Islands and West Coast Resorts operates the Only Fishing Lodge here. Anglers experience exclusive fishing and a unique and serene location. Like our other Haida Gwaii / Queen Charlotte Islands fishing lodge at Hippa Island, Englefield Bay also provides a great inside fishery so if the weather is rough, Anglers will still have plenty of great fishing spots to choose from.
